Old Business : Kevin gave a report on Winterfest, the boot hockey event that will take place on Feb 10. The event is trying to get 8 teams to play in a tournament.  He has snow fencing and cones on order from the City. The   Snow mobile club was contacted

about displaying vintage machines on the street.  But the club has a planned activity that same day.

2007 membership dues will be sent out by February according to the DBA Secretary

New Business: Kevin reported that City Council is conducting a public hearing for street closure for the Cruise-In on January 16th.  If the street closure is approved, the DBA would need to add Dakota County to the insurance policy which would cost between $50-100.00.  Pam made the motion to approve the expenditure to add Dakota County to our insurance policy.  Bob seconded the motion.  The motion carried.

Cruise-In  Kevin reported that he has meet with the Kiwanis Club about sponsoring or volunteering at the Cruise-In.  The T-shirts would come from Olleyn’s Design Works.  Pam asked if the bid for the shirts could be opened up.  Kevin said he gave Jennifer the work because she did it last year.  Kevin also reported that he is being sued personally from an incident from the Cruise-In.  He is still seeking information from our insurance agent Joe Drexler from American Family.

Other Business  Kevin mentioned that the major events that the DBA is sponsoring this year include:  The Cruise-In, Winterfest, October fest and Rivertown Days Sidewalk Sales.  Between the events and the committees, we need to be thoughtful about volunteering in order to accomplish our projects.

The building owners are meeting January 24 at 7:00pm at The Levee.

With no further items, Bob made the motion to adjourn at 6:45 pm, Tatia gave the second.  Motion carried.

Next meeting is February 6th at The Busted Nut at 6:00pm. * At the conclusion of the meeting Tatia volunteered The Busted Nut.  However, The Busted Nut is not available for the meeting.  The meeting has been moved to The Levee for February.
